It Is Well, With My Soul, Horatio Spafford 感人的故事! 這個世界充滿了苦難,也充滿了克服,願主的恩典及信心,戰勝許多苦難, 阿門!

這是一個鼓舞人心的信仰,希望和勇氣的個人旅程故事

Horatio Spafford 出生於 1882年10月20日,紐約州特洛伊市- 是一個著名的美國律師,家庭非常有錢,也是一個非常虔誠的基督徒,他與Anna Spafford 結婚,有一位兒子四位女兒,家庭一直很美滿。

1871年,Horatio Spafford 將自已許多資產投資於 Chicago, Lake Michigan 房地產,

1871年10月,Chicago 大火災,他失去他大部分財產,

1871年同年,Horatio Spafford 兒子因腥熱發燒過世,家庭一度陷入低潮,

1873年,Horatio Spafford 與Anna 一直期待全家有一個英國旅遊,由於生意耽擱,他就先讓Anna及四位女兒坐遊艇 S.S. Villa Du Havar 英國,他預計幾天後跟過去,

1873年11月22日,遊艇 S.S. Villa Du Havar 在穿越大西洋時,被一架鐵帆船撞翻,船上226人全喪生包括他四個女兒,僅他太太Anna獲救。幾小時後,Anna 送訊息告訴 Horatio Spafford "僅她獲救”,他立刻去英國與Anna 相會,這一連串 Horatio Spafford 家庭悲劇,讓他寫下最有名的基督教聖歌 It Is Well, With My Soul。後來,他與Anna 就辦一個很大孤兒院每年照顧 30000名孤兒,把他們預備給他們兒女的愛,給更多需要的孩子,成為著名的歷史。

主啊! 我的救贖,願我口中的禱告,心裏的意念,在你面前蒙悅納 ( Lord! My Savior! May these words of my pray and this meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight, Lord! Amen!

耶和華我的磐石,我的救贖主阿,願我口中的言語,心裏的意念,在你面前蒙悅納。 詩篇 19:14

May these words of my mouth and this meditation of my heart
    be pleasing in your sight,
    Lord, my Rock and my Redeemer.

耶和華我的力量阿,我愛你。 詩篇 18:1

I love you, Lord, my strength.

耶和華是我的巖石,我的山寨,我的救主,我的神,我的磐石,我所投靠的‧他是我的盾牌,是拯救我的角,是我的高臺‧

The Lord is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer;
    my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge,
    my shield[b] and the horn[c] of my salvation, my stronghold.

至於神,祂的道路是完全的;耶和華的話是煉
淨的。凡投靠祂的,祂便作他們的盾牌。 詩篇 18:30

As for God, his way is perfect:
    The Lord’s word is flawless;
    he shields all who take refuge in him.

耶和華是我的牧者;我必不至缺乏。 詩篇 23:1

The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.

我一生一世必有恩惠慈愛隨著我,我且要住在耶和華的殿中,直到永遠。 詩篇 23:6

Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.

主啊! 我在這裡為弟兄、長輩、姐姐、子妹、晚輩向你懇求及禱告,希望他們能在主耶穌基督之憐憫、祝福中,能得著醫治及健康、充滿希望、凡事能祝福像以利亞幫助信心的寡婦一樣,得著拯救及復興,阿們!

The Widow’s Olive Oil
4 The wife of a man from the company of the prophets cried out to Elisha, “Your servant my husband is dead, and you know that he revered the Lord. But now his creditor is coming to take my two boys as his slaves.”

2 Elisha replied to her, “How can I help you? Tell me, what do you have in your house?”

“Your servant has nothing there at all,” she said, “except a small jar of olive oil.”

3 Elisha said, “Go around and ask all your neighbors for empty jars. Don’t ask for just a few. 4 Then go inside and shut the door behind you and your sons. Pour oil into all the jars, and as each is filled, put it to one side.”

5 She left him and shut the door behind her and her sons. They brought the jars to her and she kept pouring. 6 When all the jars were full, she said to her son, “Bring me another one.”

But he replied, “There is not a jar left.” Then the oil stopped flowing.

7 She went and told the man of God, and he said, “Go, sell the oil and pay your debts. You and your sons can live on what is left.”
